Ringers
MATANZAS RINGERS TOURNAMENT FOR 2015
1. The Ringers tournament will begin on January 2nd.
2. The entry fee is $5.00. The entire amount of the entry fees will be distributed as prize money
at the end of the tournament. If you want to participate, please contact Dave Erbe,
who is coordinating the tournament.
3. There will be three flights based on the players’ handicaps as of January 2nd.
4. There will be two equal prizes awarded in each flight--Low Gross and Low
Net. The Low Gross will be determined by taking each player’s lowest gross
score on each hole for rounds played (on Thursdays) while the tournament is
underway. Any x score will not be counted. The Low Net score is the player’s
low gross score minus his handicap as of Jan. 10.
5. If one player has both the low gross and low net score in his flight, he
will be awarded the Low Gross prize and the player with the second lowest low
net score will win the Low Net prize.
6. If there is a tie score for either the Low Gross or Low Net prize, we
will check to see who has the lowest gross score on the highest handicap hole
(No. 2), then 12, 1, 10, etc. until a winner is determined.
7. Late entries after Jan. 2nd will be allowed. The player’s handicap at the
time he enters the tournament will be used.
8. Players do not have to play every Thursday to be a part of the
tournament. Obviously, your chances of getting a low score are improved if you
play more rounds, but feel free to enter the tournament even if you are going to
miss a few Thursdays.
